Access and Affordability Specialist (DCCP Project)
Bosa is the Access and Affordability Specialist at the Global Digital Inclusion Partnership (GDIP), supporting the Digital Connectivity and Cybersecurity Partnership (DCCP) Pacific Project. Bosa is an accomplished ICT professional, speaker, and passionate advocate for a holistic approach when providing advice and recommendations on relevant ICT technological solutions that have potential value to clients. Previously, Bosa was the Head of Telikom PNG’s Information Technology Division, having worked over 30 years in the Telecommunications Industry. She has consistently demonstrated expertise in the implementation and management of enterprise-grade IT solutions and systems necessary for business efficiency and improvement, process automation, system convergence, multi-vendor solutions integration, digitisation, and innovative transformation.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms Bosa Togs was the 2016 Westpac WOW Awards Overall Winner and 2016 Private Sector Winner of Westpac’s Outstanding Women Awards. This was attributed to her role in the successful fight against Telikom’s workplace gender discrimination in terms of benefits and salary remuneration. She is passionate about equitable technology for remote, unreached, and underserved communities. She personally funded installations of VSAT internet services for schools and communities on the remote islands in her home Provincial Electorate. These services provide additional learning, knowledge and development resources, eCommerce, electronic banking, and digital government agency services to the people of these remote areas.
Furthermore, in recognition of her contribution to the ICT space, not only in the telecommunications sector but also in communities, she received an appreciation award, and a Coral Sea Submarine Cable undersea repeater was named after her.
Bosa holds dual Master’s Degrees in Information Technology and Business Administration from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). She is also an alumnus of East West Centre, Hawaii.
