Leveraging lessons gathered during the COVID-19 pandemic, GDIP’s new study digs deeper into the repercussions of the digital exclusion of women to better understand their choices and experiences. Based on quantitative research in Bangladesh, Cambodia, Ghana, Mozambique, South Africa, and Uganda, as well as qualitative and ethnographic research in India, Nigeria, Mozambique and the Philippines, the study seeks to uncover the socio-economic, educational, and developmental losses caused by the lack of digital connectivity, while also learning about women’s strategies to overcome exclusion and inequality.
